The native HubSpot-ConnectWise Manage sync app is free to install. It is not free to use. Custom field mapping, the thing most MSPs actually need to make the sync useful, is gated behind a paid HubSpot Data Hub tier: a paywall stacked on top of the CRM subscription you are already paying for. "Free" is the entry price, not the real one.

Once MSPs go looking for something that actually works, the real numbers show up fast. One MSP evaluating HubSpot plus a custom integration package for basic deal sync was looking at $500 a month for HubSpot and $400 a month for the integration, roughly $900 a month combined, for a smaller shop. They walked away: "The ROI wasn't there for us and we went back to CW's crappy sales interface."

Others stayed in the market and paid up. Here is what real MSPs report paying, by option:

Option Price What you get
Native HubSpot-ConnectWise appFree, custom fields need a paid HubSpot tierAll-or-nothing sync, no filtering
SyncSmartPer-transaction, described as unpredictableGranular but expensive at volume; reliability complaints
Rewst (sync-only)~$500/moGeneral automation platform repurposed for sync; called "overkill" for the job
SalesSync$995/mo, 50-user minimumFixed fee, praised as "well worth the price" by a 50+ seat MSP
DIY (Power Automate, etc.)$0 in license feesEngineering time to build and to keep working when something changes
HubConnector$99 to $299/moBidirectional sync, duplicate preflight, audit trail, and conflict resolution on every plan

That table is not "expensive vendors gouging MSPs." It is a market split into two tiers that both work for the shop they were built for: SalesSync at $995 a month makes sense once you are 50+ seats. Rewst at $500 a month makes sense if you already run Rewst for broader automation. Neither fits the MSP in the middle: too small for a $995 minimum, not already invested in a $500 automation platform, and unwilling to pay $900 a month combined for something that should not cost that much.

That is the gap HubConnector is priced into. The $99 Starter plan is built for the MSP that balked at $900 a month and walked away. The $299 Enterprise plan is built for the shop that would otherwise pay $995 a month for SalesSync, minus the 50-user minimum. The goal is not to be the cheapest option in the category. It is to stop pricing the smaller half of the market out of a sync that actually works.
