Connect ConnectWise PSA
HubConnector connects to ConnectWise PSA with an API member's keys, so create a dedicated API member for HubConnector rather than reusing a person's own keys.
Steps
- In ConnectWise PSA, ask your administrator to create a dedicated API member for HubConnector. In ConnectWise PSA, API keys belong to an API member, and your ConnectWise administrator creates one under System > Members > API Members. A dedicated member means access can be revoked later without affecting a teammate's own login.
- Give that API member's security role access to companies and contacts, sales opportunities, procurement products, service tickets, and system callbacks. HubConnector reads and writes companies, contacts, opportunities, products, and service tickets, and it registers callbacks (webhooks) under System callbacks so changes arrive promptly. HubConnector also removes those callbacks when you disconnect.
- In ConnectWise, generate the API member's public key and private key. ConnectWise shows the private key once, so copy it directly into HubConnector before you navigate away.
- On the Connections page in HubConnector, find the ConnectWise PSA card and enter the Company ID, Public Key, and Private Key.
- Submit the form. HubConnector validates the credentials immediately by calling the ConnectWise system info endpoint, and rejects the connection if the credentials are invalid.
Never send a ConnectWise private key by email, including to HubConnector support. If you need help with a connection issue, describe the error instead. See Get help.
If ConnectWise already holds companies or contacts that also exist in HubSpot, run Auto-Match before your first sync. See Link existing records with Auto-Match.
