Connect Business Central
HubConnector connects to Business Central by signing in with Microsoft, then asks which environment and company to sync.
Steps
- On the Connections page, find the Business Central card and choose to connect it.
- Sign in with your Microsoft account. HubConnector uses Microsoft Entra ID to request access, and your Microsoft 365 administrator may need to approve HubConnector for your organization before you can sign in.
- In the "Select a Business Central company" dialog, choose your Environment, shown as a name and a type, for example Production.
- Choose your Company.
- HubConnector seeds default field mappings for the company you chose, described below.
What HubConnector requests
| Scope | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Business Central API .default | The standard set of Business Central permissions the connection needs. |
| offline_access | Keeps your connection active without asking you to sign in again each time. |
| openid | Confirms your identity during sign-in. |
Default field mappings
Once you choose a company, HubConnector sets up these mappings automatically:
- Companies sync both ways between Business Central and HubSpot.
- Contacts sync both ways between Business Central and HubSpot.
- Invoices flow one way, from Business Central to HubSpot. Invoice sync availability depends on your plan.
If Business Central already holds companies or contacts that also exist in HubSpot, run Auto-Match before your first sync. See Link existing records with Auto-Match.
